Remember family photos when you were little? My Mum used to dress us up (my 3 sisters and I) in the same outfit, we’d go to some session set up somewhere like Boots and be forced to squeeze in for a portrait. I never forget the one of me at about 4 years old looking miserable with my sisters. I didn’t want to smile, I was uncomfortable and bored!
That’s why I love lifestyle photography… what better way to break the ice with you and your children then go for a lovely walk somewhere, there could be tractors, or hay bales, cool graffiti for the more “too cool for school” teenagers, autumn leaves or sparkly frost. It’s fun, it’s natural and it reflects your family’s personality.
